iPhone-o-Gram! Quilting Florabunda!

I feel like I am the last one to finally turn this challenge into a real quilt!

It was last May or June that I first found that
antique quilt in Florida that inspired me to use all these big florals with solid yellow---and it's been a fun quilt journey!

The quilting is under way---oh happy day!!

  1. That's a great way to use all those large floral prints I've been collecting forever. Thanks. Oh and the Weight Watchers ad is very inspiring, looking at that skinny Jennifer Hudson!! OMG. :-)

  2. No, Bonnie, you aren't the last. Though my top has been finished for months, it has yet to be quilted. I'm trying to get my FMQ skills to the level that I won't feel like I have ruined it! : )
Yours looks beautiful--again, the border is amazing!

  4. Your basement looks rather bright and cheery with that happy quilt on the machine and the sun coming through the window. I bet it is a happy place with all the cleaning out and re-organizing :-)
    Great job!

  10. The second photo really shows the quilt off - the lighter yellows and the golds are so effective, and then the border - brilliant!

  11. Hi Bonnie, I'm really new to this blogging thing and have tried to blog with you before .... And I think that message is lost in cyber space 'cause I can't see any sign of it! Oh well ... I try again. I have a floral quilt top that desperately needs a finish and i've fallen in love with the floribunda border. Please tell me you have a link somewhere that show how you made it or that it's in one of your books. Thanks so much for all your inspiration.

  13. No, Bonnie, my Floribunda is still awaiting quilting. It's on my Patchwork Times UFO list so won't get done until Judy calls its number. I had fun making this top and using all the yellows which is not a color I use often.
