Back in a Bit!~

Today is BUSY!! And I over slept because Jason and I stayed up quite late!

Gosh, how to fit it all in?

I hope you will forgive me, but I’m going to spend some time with my son today, and I’ll write an Evening Update later.

We are headed to IKEA!

He needs a new desk for his apartment…he is turning the dining nook area into his office/study --- ((Single guys don’t REALLY eat at kitchen tables, do they??))

AND--- he is helping me assemble my Accuquilt Studio Cutter….I’ve got kits to complete for the cruise next week, talk about down the wire! He knows his mama needs him and we’ll get that together before we head off to Ikea…

Yesterday I was able to load THIS into the machine:

I had to go back in the archives all the way to THIS POST to find when the top was completed!

April 30, 2007?? Wow. Yep, some quilts do just take a while!

The yellow circle you see is just the light from my side clamp light….

Here we are just reaching center! What a lot of memory in all these little pieces!

Tonight, I might be able to get the binding on it…but I may be too tired from the Ikea run….

At any rate, life is taking over, and this blog may seem a bit emptier over the next few days!

  1. LOVE this...love the diamonds. Lots of love in this quilt. LOVE all of the colors. Can't wait to see the purple on the back.

SPend lots of time with Jason. He's what's important right now.

  2. Bonnie, you spoil us. While I do enjoy reading your posts each day, I don't see how you find the time. Take time to enjoy your visit with your son, those times are priceless. We will all certainly understand and be patiently waiting to hear about your next adventure.

  3. I'm glad that you and your son are able to have this weekend to spend time together. I'm also sure that you both enjoy helping each other out. Have fun and get back to us in a day or so. Family is number one.

  4. Enjoy your time with Jason, he needs his momma right now. As I've always told my kids, friends will come and go, but family is forever. We will still be here when you get back!

This quilt is awesome! What a great use of scraps! I'm eagerly awaiting the next mystery (although I'm still plugging away on RRCB).

  5. good, take a bit of a break from the blogging! you don't need to do sooo many posts. love that string star - such a gorgeous quilt. and yes, that orange is really as florescent as I remember it! Hope you love the studio cutter - I've been tempted and I don't do nearly as many consistent shapes as you do!

  8. Wow, wow, wow! That quilt is STUNNING! You inspired me to clean up my sewing room, but just haven't gotten to organizing those scraps yet :) This makes me want to do it right now! Enjoy the time with your son.

  10. Your quilting and Blog can wait- your time spent with your son can't. How fun for you after all your traveling. Sometimes no pictures are required, just make some mental pictures to keep you company on the days when he's too far away and you can't be with him.

  11. In this case the fact that the blog is emptier because your life is more full seems like a wonderful thing. Hug Jason as often as that wondering look crosses his face. No matter how many times he looks inward the answer probably is only partially there.

You are really going to love your new studio cutter! You'll have those kits done in no time at all.

  13. Enjoy time with your son, quilters (and some quilt tops!) are VERY patient people...and mostly parents...so also understanding by nature! Happy quilting and IKEA shopping, Sue SA.

We would so much rather you take care of "home" business, than post pics etc to your fans. We all understand what a busy woman you are, but know beyond explanation that family comes first, even before quilting. Enjoy your time with Jason, concentrate on priorities and we will keep you in our thoughts. Blessings your way...
