Got Fabric Shirts & Born To Quilt Tattoos!

The following message is from Leann, regarding the shirts seen below, and the tattoos!

You can drop me a note if you want to order a t-shirt ($10 plus shipping)
LeanneM@triad.rr.com

The tattoos were ordered from www.blockpartystudios.com
they are great!!!

The proceeds from the shirt sales are benefiting a terrific local cause here in Winston Salem, so I hope you will support Leann with the shirt sales! If you get a girlfriend to go on in with you (or more) It will probably save some on shipping.

I'm working on a 3 part Mystery for future issues of Quiltmaker. I LOVE DOING THIS! The hardest part for me, is keeping it a mystery because I want to show you all SO BAD how great this is turning out.

The frustrating part also,is that 3 weeks ago we decided (We being one of Quiltmaker's Editors, and myself) that we would order this special fabric direct and have it shipped to me. Two weeks later...no fabric. Turns out they were OUT of the one we wanted and neglected to tell us!

We try to choose something else....no fabric. They didn't have ENOUGH.

So yesterday I get word to just use what I have on hand, which is great, because I would rather deplete some of my stash.....no....scratch that.....GIVE PURPOSE to some of my stash, than add do it. But I wish we decided this THREE WEEKS AGO, because now I am under the gun to get the top finished to send off to Quiltmaker by FRIDAY. URGH. Oh well, bad use of time that couldn't be helped. I can do it!

The mystery will start around mid year, and finish around November just in time for the Holidays... :c)

  1. this may sound like a dumb question, but maybe I'm not the only one wanting to know so here goes...

this quiltmker magazine you have been talking about that you are featured in for Jan and upcoming issues is it http://www.quiltmaker.com/ ????

The reason I ask is b/c I've been on the hunt for "THE Hunter" (giggle) and seems to me that she can't be found no where in my town!

and since it is rather difficult to load up the kids and drive out of town to the nearest Barnes & Nobel or Joanns, I want to call first and ask if they have it... and want to make sure I am asking for the right one - since a lot of quilting magazines have similar names.

or better yet, since you will be in coming issues...maybe I'll subscribe...:) but again, want to make sure it's the right one.

thanks. I tried looking at quiltville.com to see if you had it listed, but i don't see any of the magazines you have been in listed there like they use to be.. or maybe I didn't look in the correct place.

anyway, just let me know the official name of the magazine. thanks! Love from Texas! ~bonnie

  2. Some of the quilters in my beginners group complained that when they look at quilts in magazines and go to get the same fabric it is long past sold out! Maybe it is safer to just use stash....

    Love the tats!

Bonnie, I said from the first days of discovering your blog that you would become a very well known quilter some day. Image doing a mystery quilt for a well-known, well read magazine. Which brings up another topic. I'm glad you're working from stash, as this is what makes you, you. Your book is not about buying more fabric, but starting with what you have in your stash. I'll definitely be doing the mystery quilt.

  6. It's hard for you not to share the mystery, but think of us-- We need to wait 6 months! Well maybe it's a good thing. We now have notice to get our other projects done and be ready to start something new when the magazine comes out. I'm excited already! Good luck with your deadlines. =)

  8. I kind of have a similar question. You know that gorgeous quilt you said was in the current quiltmaker - which issue (or month)? I can't find it either.... I can order if I know which one!

  9. The article and pattern are in the new Jan/Feb 2009 issue of Quiltmaker Magazine. I haven't seen hide nor hair of it yet!

It's still early, and those who HAVE seen it are subscribers, so it should be on newstands in the next week or so!

    Bonnie
