I am SO label challenged.
I am SO TERRIBLY BAD at putting labels on my quilts that I find it daunting to even start now!
All the quilts are ready to go to photography. If I hadn't put off putting labels on until the end, I would have been able to ship everything yesterday, but as it sits today....I'm still doing it!
Is there anyone else as bad as me out there? Why do I put it off so long?
I like to print labels on my laser jet. Should be easy right? Cut fabric to 8.5"X11"...fuse freezer paper to the back side and PRINT.
But oh no....I am such a "use everything up, make no waste" person, I can't do just one label on one sheet and have all that excess, so I tell myself to wait until I have four to do, and do them all at once, and then there will be no waste.
Brilliant idea except....it doesn't happen! I never do it. I bet MOST of the quilts in my whole trunk show have no labels on them. Bad Bonnie. Really bad! I've even had people at guild meetings point that out to me.
Is there a 12 step program for Label Un-ablers to motivate us to get these things on there? Maybe it's because I never know what to say about the quilt. I'm daunted by those who do really spectacular labels. (good excuse?!)
I've heard of people putting the label in the corner so the binding stitches down two sides so you only have two more to do. This is a good idea...cept these quilts are already bound. I'm too late to jump on that band wagon!
I've told myself to even put the label on the backing BEFORE QUILTING..but yeah, right..like that is ever going to happen?
I'm seriously thinking of just taking a sharpie marker and writing on the back of the dern things! Except.....most of my backings are so scrappy busy that even THAT won't show up. Pfffft.

Maybe some of you will be better at doing this than I am! :cD
